A Generator for Cinematic Video titles

I am a digital hoarder.

I keep recording videos and photos and all sorts of potential content but I never get around to actually sharing them online.

The solution I thought of

Here is a link to a cool tool I made. It's a cinematic title generator, I created it to have nice looking titles for my videos. Usually when I make a video, I spend most of my time preparing the video itself - doing the edits, pickign the music, writing the captions and video description. Putting the title of the video is usually something that is done in a slapdash manner at the very end.

Titles are important

The title of a video is something that you see at its very beginning, as part of the 'hook'. It is also in the little preview of the reel on the instagram profile page, it's such a shame that it doesn't get more time and energy.

Usually I know exactly what style of title I want, the formatting, font, color etc. In fact, you want your titles to follow a common visual language for your whole page so there's no point going back to photoshop or illustrator for every video. It's usually recycling the same fonts same styles but different titles.

And so the idea was born

So instead of using ugly default fonts of tiktok and instagram (saving time but sacrificing aesthetics), and instead of going back to photoshop everytime to put together a nice lookign title (sacrificing time but gaining aesthetics), why not have a tool that is preprogrammed to a certain font style and have it spit out the title that you need, whenever you need it. Quick and efficient.

So this tool is written with html css and javascript. It's a really simple tool. Lacks an imaginative name, happy for any of your suggestions. It's still in the testing phase but seems like a really promising little tool to save me time.

The real test

All this is well and good, you'll say. But how to really evaluate this tool. Is it just me overengineering an unnecessarily complex solution to a simple problem, or is this thing really going to revolutionise my content creation workflow? There is a simple test to answer this question. A really simple KPI would be to measure my output in terms of published content before and after this tool. Right now at 24h post development, I have half a video in preparation, which is better than the 0 I had before this tool.

The rut that gets you stuck

Often I get stuck in a rut of wanting to produce content, starting something, not liking it, and putting it off forever. Something like the analysis paralysis where analysing and planning keeps you from actually getting your task done, this is procrastination paralysis or perfection paralysis where a task doesn't give you enough dopamine so you set it aside forever in favor of other tasks that are more or less useful.
